Overview
Terms are used to specify the number of days after a bill or invoice has been issued before it is due. To access terms click the gear icon at the top right, then click "Lists" in the left menu and then click "Terms" in the left menu. To sort list of terms click on the column header name for the criteria you want to sort by. To filter the list of terms click on the "Filters" button, select filters and click "Save" and to remove filters click the "Reset" button.
Adding terms
To add terms complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Terms" in the left menu
- Click on the "+ New Term" button above the list of terms
- Enter terms information
- Click the "Save" or the "Save + New" button at the bottom of the form
Editing terms
To edit terms complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Terms" in the left menu
- Click on the term that you want to edit
- Click on the "Edit" button
- Make changes and then click on the "Save" or "Save + New" button at the bottom of the form
Deleting terms
Users can delete terms one at a time or in bulk.
To delete terms one at a time complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Terms" in the left menu
- Click on the term that you want to delete
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Delete" in the dropdown
To delete terms in bulk complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Terms" in the left menu
- Click on the checkbox to the left of "Term" for each term that you want to delete
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Delete" in the dropdown
Note that terms that are tied to contacts cannot be deleted.
Making terms active or inactive
Users can make terms active or inactive one at a time or in bulk.
To make terms active or inactive one at a time complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Terms" in the left menu
- Click on the term that you want to make active or inactive
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Active" or "Inactive" in the dropdown
To make terms active or inactive in bulk complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Terms" in the left menu
- Click on the checkbox to the left of "Term" for each term that you want to make active or inactive
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Active" or "Inactive" in the dropdown
