Overview
Accounts are used to track income, expenses, and balances by category. To access accounts click the gear icon at the top right, then click "Lists" in the left menu, then click on "Chart of Accounts" in left menu. To sort list of accounts click on the column header name for the criteria you want to sort by. To filter the list of accounts click on the "Filters" button, select filters and click "Save" and to remove filters click the "Reset" button.
Adding accounts
Users can add accounts one at a time or by importing a list of accounts from a CSV file.
To add accounts one at a time complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the "+ New Account" button above the list of accounts
- Enter account information
- Click the "Save" or the "Save + New" button at the bottom of the form

Editing accounts
To edit accounts complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the account that you want to edit
- Click on the "Edit" button
- Make changes and then click on the "Save" or "Save + New" button at the bottom of the form
Deleting accounts
Users can delete accounts one at a time or in bulk.
To delete accounts one at a time complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the account that you want to delete
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Delete" in the dropdown
To delete accounts in bulk complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the checkbox to the left of "Account" for each account that you want to delete
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Delete" in the dropdown
Note that accounts that are tied to items or transactions cannot be deleted.
Making accounts active or inactive
Users can make accounts active or inactive one at a time or in bulk.
To make accounts active or inactive one at a time complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the account that you want to make active or inactive
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Active" or "Inactive" in the dropdown
To make accounts active or inactive in bulk complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the checkbox to the left of "Account" for each account that you want to make active or inactive
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on "Active" or "Inactive" in the dropdown
Exporting accounts
Users can export accounts by completing the following steps:
- Click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on "Lists" in the left menu
- Click on "Chart of Accounts" in the left menu
- Click on the "Export" button
Note that any filters set on the list of accounts when user clicks on the "Export" button will be applied to the export.
