Overview
Sales orders are used to keep track of orders from customer. To access sales orders go to the “Home” menu and click on “Sales orders” in the left menu. To sort the list of sales orders click on the column header for the criteria you want to sort by. To filter the list of sales orders click on the "Filters" button, select filters and click "Save", and to remove filters click the "Reset" button.
Creating sales orders
To create a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the “+ New Sales Order” button above the list of sales orders
- Enter sales order information
- Click the "Save" or the "Save + New" button at the bottom of the form
Copying sales orders
To copy a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to copy
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on “Copy”
After completing the steps above a new sales order will be created which you can then edit and save.
Editing sales orders
To edit a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to edit
- Click on the "Edit" button and make any changes you want
- Click on the "Save" or "Save + New" button at the bottom of the form
Viewing sales orders
To view a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to view
- Click on the "View" button
Once you complete the steps above the view page will open. The view page is the finished copy of the sales order which you can email or print.
Emailing sales orders
To email a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to email
- Click on the "Email" button
- Enter or edit email information
- Make sure to check the box next to any attachments you want to include in the email
- Click the “Send” button at the bottom of the email popup form
After you complete the steps above an email will be sent to the email address/addresses in the “To” field. The email sent will include links to the sales order view page and any attachments included in the email.
Printing sales orders
To print a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to print
- Click on the "PDF Print" button
- Print the PDF file
Printing sales order detail
To print sales order detail complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to print
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on “Print Page”
Opening sales orders
To open a sales order that is closed or on hold complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to open
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on “Open”
Closing sales orders
To close a sales order that is open or on hold complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to close
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on “Close”
Note that the system will automatically close a sales order once all items have been shipped.
Putting sales orders on hold
To put a sales order on hold that is open or closed complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to close
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on “Hold”
Voiding sales orders
To void a sales order complete the following steps:
- From the “Home” menu click on “Sales orders” in the left menu
- Click on the sales order that you want to void
- Click on the "More" button
- Click on “Void”
Note that once you void a sales order you cannot unvoid it.
